In summer 2016, Harrison County Community Services (HCCS) purchased a refrigerated truck, using $31,000 from the Harrison County Community Services Fund and $2,500 from the Ewbank Family Fund, which benefits HCCS. The refrigerated truck is a 2009 Freightliner truck that has a 26' box and a 3,000 pound lift gate. The truck has been helping HCCS safely transport food that is donated or food that HCCS picks up from Dare to Care in Louisville.

HCCS serves all of Harrison County. The organization focuses on helping people in the county who are below 150% of the poverty level. HCCS has a food pantry, a clothes closet and other services for Harrison County residents in need.
